District and Hotels

Fatih district and especially Sultanahmet area is one of the most attractive areas for tourists to have their hotel there. There are lots of famous hotels in this area, for example :

Duration

It takes like one hour from Istanbul New Airport (IST) to Sultanahmet by private airport transfer. But be careful about return, if your flight is in the evening, sometimes there will be lots of traffic in the area and you need to leave your hotel four and a half hours before your flight to be at the airport on time. It would be the same situation if your hotel is in Laleli, Aksaray, Beyazit or Kumkapi Area.

If your flight lands in Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) , it takes around one and a half hour from the airport to this area but again you need to check for your return flight. It can take around two hours from Sultanahmet, Beyazit, Aksaray, Laleli to Sabiha Gokcen Airport in the evening. Sometimes there would be lots of traffic on the way in the morning also.  If you are in a hurry and your hotel is in these areas, you can ask your driver to use the Tunnel with an extra cost for tolls around 100 Turkish Lira or 5 Euro. It can save around half an hour for you to reach Sabiha Gokcen Airport.

Costs

It varies from company to company, But it must be between 30-40 Euro from Istanbul New Airport (IST) and it must be between 40-50 Euro from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) to Fatih district. These rates are for minivan vehicles with 1-6 pax capacity.
