Istanbul Airport to Besiktas By Bus

How can you reach Besiktas by bus from IST Airport?

Here when we say Bus, we mean the Istanbul Public bus known as IETT which is the cheapest transportation in Istanbul. But from Istanbul airport, you can just find a few options to reach Besiktas by Bus. There are just a few Bus lines from Istanbul Airport to City Center. As you can see in the image below, you can use the H-6 bus line (starting from 6 AM departs almost every hour ) from Istanbul airport to Gaziosmanpas (Nene Hatun Parkı station ), From there you need to change to 36L or 36Z lines to Besiktas. Depending on your destination you need to use local bus lines to reach your destination.

what is the cost? and how long does it take?

As you can see in the image it could take around 3 hours to reach Besiktas by IETT buses. The other shorter options which you can see in the image are with Havaist buses that we will explain in the next parts.

If you buy an Istanbulkart ( a card to use for Istanbul public transportation ) your trip will cost 60TL ( 2 Euros ). Otherwise, it will cost 120TL (4 Euros ) with double-pass cards.

If you want to use Public transportation to reach Besiktas district, the Metro and Havaist would be better than Bus for sure.

To travel by metro, take the M11 line from Istanbul Airport to Kagithane station, then transfer to the M7 line to reach Yildiz station, followed by a short walk or bus to your final destination.

As you can see in the image below, it takes around 90 minutes from Istanbul airport to Besiktas by Metro and will cost 35 TL or around 1 euro if you use the Istanbulkart ( Istanbul public transportation card), otherwise, you need a three-pass card and will cost you 3 Euros.

A convenient public transport option to get to Besiktas from Istanbul Airport is the Havaist bus service. You can find Havaist Buses on the -2 Floor outside the arrival hall. As you can see in the image below, it takes around 80 minutes to reach Besiktas and it costs you 114TL ( 4 Euros ).
