If you need a taxi or airport transfer to change your airport in Istanbul here is some information for you. If you need to go from Sabiha Gokcen Airport to Istanbul New Airport or vice versa, you can book a car in advance on our website or other companies. Istanbul New airport (IST) is in the west north of Istanbul city, while Sabiha Gokcen airport (SAW) is in the east side of the city. The distance between two airports is 80 Km and it can take a lot of time in peak time.
There are 2 different ways, one from the second bridge ( Fatih Sultan Mehmet ) and the other one from the third bridge ( Yavuz Sultan Selim ). As there is a small amount of tolls for the second bridge, drivers normally use this bridge as their route. But it depends on the time, it can take between one to two hours between airports. If your flight lands in one of the airports after 9pm till 4am it can take just one hour. But in the morning and in the evening it can take around 2 hours, while in the noon it can take around one and a half hours.
If you don’t have enough time to transfer between airports you can ask your driver to use the third bridge, it always takes around one hour between the two airports, but it costs an extra tolls for the bridge and highway around 200 Turkish lira or 10 Euro.
The cost to use private transfer between airports can vary depending on the company, But between 60-70 Euro is a fair price. These rates are for private transfer for Minivans for 1-6 pax capacity.
